I've read a lot of mixed reviews on MUA's Fur Effect Nails but had never got round to trying it out for myself.
After getting this in Flurry Bobbin, which is a dark purple from Superdrug a few days ago I couldn't wait to try it out!  The instructions aren't that great and to be honest I didn't follow them, but instead just applied them in the same way that I would with loose glitter.  Below is a quick guide on how to apply MUA's Fur Effect Nails.

MUA Fur Effects
  1. To start with I painted all my nails with one coat of Nails Inc Tudor Way which is a dark blue shade, whilst this was drying I removed the sifter from the tub using some tweezers.

    2.  I then painted a second coat on my little finger (being careful not to get any nail polish on my skin or cuticles as the fur will stick to any wet polish), and straight away dipped my wet nail into the pot, rolling it slightly from side to side to ensure full coverage.

       3.  I then removed my nail from the pot, hovered my finger back over the tub with my nail faced downwards and tapped my finger to try and shake off any excess fur back into the tub.  I then gently wiped off any unwanted fur that sill remained on and around my nails, and then pressed the remaining fur onto my nail to try to even it out.  I did this one nail at a time and it took about 20 minutes.

The end result looks pretty cool, although I would say that they look more like felt or velvet than Fur Effects, but for £3 I'm not gunna complain.  I actually went swimming with these and wasn't sure how well they'd hold out.  I was pleasantly surprised that they stayed on well and although the 'fur' thinned, it was still evenly present on my nails.  They also seemed to dry fairly quickly after getting them wet.  My only downside to them was that they were a pain to get off, worse than glitter, but I think its worth it because they're so unusual.  These are a great idea and I think I'l definitely be buying more in different colours.

You can get these from MUA's website, they're normally £3, but are on special offer at the moment for just £2.

Princess points: 5/5
These are really cool and unusual, they were fairly quick and easy to apply, long lasting and look great!
