Essie No Chips Ahead Top Coat |
This Top Coat from Essie claims to keep nails chip free for up to 10 days. Nail polish usually lasts up to 2 days on me before I start to see any tip wear and then a further 3 days before any major chipping. I used this top coat over the top of OPI's Wear Something Spar-Kylie and it kept the polish chip both chip and tip wear free for four days. However by 9PM on the fourth day I noticed that it was already starting to chip on my ring finger nail.

Essie No Chips Ahead Top Coat Swatched After 4 Days Wear |
Compared to my old unbranded top coat this one did extend the length of my manicure, but not to the extend Essie claim. It did add a high shine finish to my nails and smoothed out the texture of the glitter polish underneath. I used 2 coats of Essies No Chips Ahead as I wanted to get rid of the rough glitter fell and it still dried fairly quickly.

This top coat added a really smooth and shiny finish to my nails and double my usual wear time. I think this is a decent top coat, but it didn't make my manicure last the full 10 days it claimed, so I shall continue my hunt for that miracle top coat.
