CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss Lip Gloss Review - Insolence 57

CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss Lip Gloss Review - Insolence 57
Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick - 57 Insolent £25
Insolence 57 is my first Chanel Rouge Allure lip gloss, its a mid toned milky pink colour that reminds me of a really strong nesquick milkshake.
The formula of these lip glosses is thick and gel-like, slightly gloopy, but not too tacky.  In comparison to Chanels Glossimers, the Rouge Allure formula isn't as tacky or as sticky.  This lip gloss goes really well with Chanels Le Vernis nail polish in 489 Rose Insolent.

What Chanel say:
ROUGE ALLURE EXTRAIT DE GLOSS offers the shine of a gloss and the colour intensity of a lipstick.

INTENSE LONG-LASTING COLOUR: The presence of very finely ground mother-of-pearl helps intensify colour and light reflection with no pearly effect.

PURE SHINE: The combination of a new-generation shiny polymer and a plant-based gelling agent patented by CHANEL* was selected for its unprecedented qualities, combining exceptional shine, comfort, softness and hold.

ABSOLUTE COMFORT: Shea butter and a canola oil derivative provide a sensation of well-being, while a Vitamin E derivative protects the lips.

I personally don't think that the colour payoff is as intense as a lipstick, but it does give a a good amount of pigmentation for a lip gloss.  This lip gloss wears for about 3 hours on my lips which is amazing for a gloss, and is better than a number of lipsticks that I own.  It even stayed on after a health boosting cup of green tea.  It does have a very glossy, shinny, laminated finish and doesn't smudge or transfer much due to its thicker texture.  The formula is very moisturising and after a full days wear my lips feel hydrated and moisturised.

The application wand is a sponge tip that is wide yet thin, it smooths the lip gloss onto lips efficiently and evenly.  My only downside to application is that when you take the applicator out of the tube, a lot of product gets removed by the tubes filter  meaning you have to dip the wand back in the tube a couple of times for a full coverage.  Insolent also has a mild yet sweet, berry smell which is detectable both in the tube and during application but disappears on the lips.  The packaging is also really similar to the Rouge Allure lipsticks, only longer which I adore.

Princess points: 5/5
This is one of the longest lasting lip glosses I've ever tried, it's really shiny and is pretty well pigmented for such a milky pink.
