Rimmel Colour Mousse 8 Hour Eyeshadow Review - 013 Galaxy

Rimmel Colour Mousse 8Hour Eyeshadow Review - 013 Galaxy
Rimmel Colour Mousse Eyeshadow Galaxy
Rimmel's Colour Mousse in Galaxy is a shimmery lilac purple shade.  It's highly pigmented and gives an almost metallic effect once applied.  I actually picked this eyeshadow up in Poundland about a month ago and as far as I'm aware it's been discontinued which is why it was available so cheap.  Rimmel claim that this eyeshadow lasts up to 8 Hours and I can happily say that it lasts a full day on top of Rimmels Eyeshadow Primer without fading, creasing or smudging.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Review - Frozen Violet

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Review - Frozen Violet
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot - Frozen Violet £14.50
MAC's Paint Pot in Frozen Violet is a shimmery, taupe shade, rather than the frosted purple silver that MAC describes it as.  As far as pigmentation goes this shade is pretty sheer, although it can be built up in thin layers.  It has a thin and buttery texture with smooths onto lids evenly and is extremely blendable.  This is a great eye shadow for when you don't have much time, but still want a shimmery smoky eye.

Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil Review - Dark Blond

Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil - Dark Blond
This eyebrow pencil from Maybelline is more like a tinted eyebrow wax pencil rather than anything else.  It works mostly to hold eyebrows in place as its formula is wax based and the pencil itself isn't very pigmented.    The result you get from this is very natural, but unlike with your average eyebrow pencil with this one you won't get any stray hairs poking out in the wrong direction.

Maybelline Master Smoky Shadow- Pencil Review - Smoky Chocolate

Maybelline Master Smoky Shadow-Pencil £5.99
This new eyeshadow pencil from Maybelline is designed to be applied to the lashline, waterline and eyelids.  It's easily smudge-able and gives a gorgeous smoky eye look.  The eyeshadow comes in a stick format making it handy for travelling as you don't need to carry any brushes, plus it has a smudger on the opposite end.  I found this really easy to apply, I first applied it to my lashline and all over my eyelids up to just past my crease.  I then used the smudger to blend the product further upwards towards my brow bones and applied the product to my waterline,

Rimmel Glam Eyes Mono Eyeshadow Review - 120 Urban Green

Rimmel Glam Eyes - 120 Urban Green £4.49
Rimmel Glam Eyes in Urban Green is a highly pigmented shimmery deep green.  I actually picked this up in my local poundland earlier on this week.  I always like to have a quick browse around as I sometimes manage to find some great beauty buys such as this one.  Usually the shades available are discontinued elsewhere, but I checked online and this shade is still available in the UK.

Barry M Dazzle Dust Review - 100 Bronze

Barry M Dazzle Dust - 100 Bronze £4.59
Dazzle Dust in 100 Bronze is a coppery, orange toned shade of bronze.  It looks great mixed in with a dark brown eyeshadow, but for the pictures I used this shade alone so you could see the true colour when applied.  I was always a bit unsure about using any of the Dazzle Dusts as I always imagined them to be really messy to apply, since they're loose pigment.   But I actually found that they were easy to apply without too much fallout.

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara Review

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara £7.99
The Falsies is a volumising mascara which claims to boost the visible volume of your lashes by 300%.  I have it in Brun Glamour which is a mid brown shade, it's not as dark as YSL's Volume Effects in Brown, but it dries slightly darker than how it looks on the wand..  I love volumised lashes, but hate wearing false lashes in the day.  This mascara really does add extreme volume, plumping up my lashes in just 2 coats.

Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow Review - Frost Shimmer/ Aqua Shimmer

Natural Collection Duo Eyeshadow - Frost Shimmer/ Aqua Shimmer £1.99
This duo eyeshadow from Natural Collection contains 2 shimmer metallic shades.  The pigmentation of both is okay, nothing special, but it can be built up gradually.  The first one is Frost Shimmer, this is a white/ silver shade which is great for highlighting both the brow bones and inner corners of the eyes.  The second is Aqua Shimmer, this shade is a light metallic blue with a slight hint of green undertones.  Both shades are easy to apply, don't have much fallout and blend incredibly easily.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 HR Gel -Cream Eyeshadow Review - 65 Pink Gold

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 HR Gel -Cream Eyeshadow Review - 65 Pink Gold
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow - 65 Pink Gold £4.99
I first came across Maybelline's Colour Tattoo range a few weeks ago, when I was out shopping with my nan.  I noticed that she had on a gorgeous shimmery silver eyeshadow, and I was really intrigued to know what she'd used.  When we got home she showed me the product which looked uncanny to MAC's Paintpots.  The eyeshadow she'd been using was Maybelline's Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow in Eternal Silver.  Eternal Silver sat perfectly against her warm skintone and really brightened up her eyes.  I also noticed that the eyeshadow hadn't creased at all during the whole time we were out.  This made me want to try it out for myself, so when I was next in Boots I picked up this little beauty in Pink Gold.

Natural Collection Eyeshadow Duo Review - Rosemary/ Thyme

Natural Collection Eyeshadow - Rosemary/ Thyme £1.99
Natural Collection's eye shadow in Rosemary/ Thyme is a duo of both a shimmery lime green shade and a shimmery slightly duller almost khaki mid-tone green.  The lime shade is very sheer as it isn't very pigmented, but gives a subtle effect.  The darker shade is more pigmented but still not really pigmented and has a slightly metallic finish.

Dior 1 Couleur Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow Review - 056 Argentic

Dior 1 Couleur Eyeshadow - Argentic £18.25
Argentic 1 couleur mono eyeshadow from Dior is a silky, highly pigmented shimmery grey shade.  This eyeshaddow is blendable, easy to apply, and soft enough for product to be picked up with a single stroke of a brush.  The colour is really similar, but slightly lighter than Diors Twinset Eyeshadow Stick in Grey Sight which was released as part of Diors Cherie Bow Spring 2013 Collection.

MUA Trio Eyeshadow Review - Passion

MUA Trio Eyeshadow - Passion £2.50
Passion by MUA is an affordable lilac eye shadow trio with pretty good pigmentation.  All three shades are extremely blendable, and complementing of each other.  The shadows are soft in texture which enables them to be picked up easily with a single stroke of a brush.  I have't experienced much fallout with these, the only shade I've really had any fallout with is the lightest highlighting shade.

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow Stick Review - Bronze Haze

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effects - Bronze Haze £7.99
I got this Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow from Max Factor a few years ago and I've never really used it much.  This shade is Bronze Haze, It consists of a well pigmented, dark shimmery cream eye shadow on one end and a light bronze cream eye shadow on the other.  I decided to give this one a go today and see how it looked.

Barry M Kohl Eye Liner Pencil Review - 28 Bronze

Barry M Kohl Eye Liner Pencil Review - 28 Bronze
Barry M Kohl Eyeliner - 28 Bronze £2.99
This Kohl Eyeliner By Barry M in 28 Bronze is more of a medium toned brown than a bronze.  It has lots of shimmery, fine glitter particles which give it a soft yet brightening effect on the eye.  It has a really soft Kohl formula which glides onto the lashline really smoothly and evenly.  Its goes well with Barry M's Bold Bronze Eyeliner as part of a shimmery smoky eye.

Barry M Bold Waterproof Eyeliner Review- Bronze
Barry M Bold Waterproof  Eye Liner - Bronze £3.99
This Waterproof Bold Eyeliner from Barry M is a beautiful shimmery bronze shade.  It contains small shimmery glitter particles which give it it's shimmery finish.  I have used this as a base for eyeshadow, as an eyeshadow, on the waterline and to line the inner corner of my eye.

Dior Grand Ball Holiday 2012 Collection 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette Review - 524 Night Golds

Dior Grand Ball Holiday 2012 Collection 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette Review - 524 Night Golds
Dior Night Golds £40
Night Golds was one of two 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes that Dior released as part of their limited edition Holiday 2012 Collection.
This palette is really versatile and contains 5 shimmery shades.
The first shade on the top right is a really shimmery white with silver pigmentation, it is highly pigmented and is great for highlighting the inner corners of the eye and brow bones.  I often use this shade in conjunction with other palettes as its such a good colour for brightening up my eyes.

CHANEL Sublime De Chanel Waterproof Length And Curl Mascara Review - 10 Noir Black

NOIRCHANEL Sublime De Chanel Waterproof Length And Curl Mascara Review - 10 Noir Black
Image from chanel.com
Sublime De Chanel is a curling and lengthening mascara.  I got this as a tester during a recent Chanel make up haul.  As this product was intended for women in Asia I can't comment on how well it would stay on in hot climates, I did however go in a steam room with it on and didn't experience any melting from the mascara. I also tried it out when I went for a swim and even when I'd swam underwater I had no panda eyes, although if I touched my lashes the mascara would come off onto my fingers. I also noticed that once I'd come out the pool I didn't appear to have much mascara left.

CHANEL Stilo Yeux Waterproof Eye Liner Review - Santal 100

CHANEL Stilo Yeux Waterproof Eye Liner Review - Santal 100
Chanel Stilo Yeux - Santal £19
Chanel's Stilo Yeax in Santal is a shimmery brown eye liner with a hint of bronze.  It's one of two Chanel limited edition eye liners and is part of Chanels Printempts De Chanel Spring 2013 Collection.  Its similar to their permanent espresso shade, but with more shimmer and bronze undertones.  It applies more precisely than a pencil eyeliner and there's no need to sharpen it as you just need to twist the bottom to release more product.

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky Eye Shadow Palette Review - Smoky Violet 961

Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky Eye Shadow Palette Review - Smoky Violet 961
Dior 3 Couleurs - Smoky Violet 961 £34
Diors 3 Couleurs palletes give subtle shimmery eye shadow looks.  Smoky Violet 961 consists of 3 shades, the first is a light lilac matte, slightly metallic shade which is great for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes and brow bones.  The second is a dark purple/ violet shade on the top left which is slightly metallic and mildly shimmery.  The third is my favourite of the 3 and is a really shimmery violet with pink and purple micro glitter.

Dior Diorshow Review - 090 Noir Black

Dior Diorshow Reviw - 090 Noir Black
Diorshow £23
Diorshow has been my staple black mascara for a few years now and up until I recently discovered YSL's Volume Effects, it was my all time favourite.
I love how thick the applicator wand is, it makes it really easy to wiggle around at the roots of my lashes to increase their volume.  I also love that it has soft fibres, as I really don't like mascaras with the hard plastic bristles, I find them uncomfortable to apply.
