Burt's Bees Lip Balm With Pomegranate Oil £3.69 |
This Lip Balm from Burt's Bees is marketed as a 100% natural lip balm. I picked it up from Whole Foods a couple of months ago and have found it really effective for healing my dry, chapped lips. The lip balm has a fairly strong scent which lingers around for a good half hour after application. I don't find that this product lasts too long on my lips, usually only just over an hour or so, but whilst it's on I can definitely feel that it's working.

I usually apply this in the mornings prior to lipstick as I find that it smooths out the appearance of any lines and cracks. It also helps protect my lips from drying out as they sometimes can from lipsticks (I don't use any lip balm under lipsticks whilst I am testing them though). I find that although this isn't marketed as a tinted lip balm, it does give my lips a healthy looking rosy sheen, unlike a lot of other lip balms which are paler or white and make lips look not so nice.

The texture is thin and ever so slightly waxy. I personally prefer creamier textures such as that of my holy grail lip balm
MAC's tinted lip conditioner. But baring in mind this lip balm from Burt's Bees is 100% natural and under half the price of MAC's I think its still a great product. Plus the waxy texture makes it feel like it's acting as a barrier helping to protect lips from the effects of cold weather and air conditioning.

This lip balm smells amazing, gives lips a pretty rosy tint and helps to condition and protect them.
