John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Purple Mouse £4 |
The mouse is for those dreaded moments after dying or bleaching your hair blonde when you end up with those horrible, unwanted yellow tones. This is mostly caused by not leaving the bleach on your hair for long enough, although some cheap hair dyes may also make your hair yellow. John Frieda's colour renew tone correction range consists of a purple shampoo, a purple conditioner and this purple mouse.

The way it works is that the violet in these products counteracts the yellow tones and neutralises them so you don't have to over process your hair by re-colouring it. So its pretty much a purple temporary hair dye mouse. Admittedly, I have found myself with yellow hair several times in the past and have found this to be a great product for neutralising my hair colour back to blonde.

Due to the product being of a violet nature it will probably make your hair an ash blonde shade, and through repeated use of this and the shampoo and conditioner you should find that the yellowness completely disappears. The only downside to this product is that it can be quite drying on the hair, although that is to be expected as it's coating the hair shaft in temporary hair colour.

This product has saved me from so many hair dying emergencies, I love it so much that I now keep a few of these in my hair draw just in case I get caught out by another 'blonde' hair dye.
