MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer Review

MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Primer £5
When it comes to primers I'm a huge fan of silicone based products.  Undress Your Skin from MUA has a really similar texture to Benefits Porefessional Primer.  It glides over skin smoothly, filling in any pores and imperfections on the skins surface.  In doing so it creates a smooth canvas to apply your make up to.  I found that this primer really helped to hold my foundation in place for a whole day, dramaticly increasing my foundations wear time.  I noticed that whilst wearing this product my skin was less oily, especially on my nose.

L'oreal True Match Blusher Le Blush Review - 365 Nude Brown

L'oreal True Match Blusher Le Blush Review - 365 Nude Brown
L'oreal True Match Blusher - 365 Nude Brown £7.69
Although this blush is designed for darker skin tones, I really liked it on my fair skin as it gave my cheeks a rosy yet slightly bronzed effect.  This blush is an almost caramel brown shade with rosy pink undertones and a matte finish.  In the photo below I applied this blusher heavily and it looked more pink than brown.  It's well pigmented and the colour can easily be built up.  The powder itself is incredibly soft and picks with just a few swirls of a blusher brush.

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Blush Review - Universal Rosy Blush

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Blush Review - Universal Rosy Blush
L'oreal Nude Magique BB Blush - Universal Rosy Blush £7.99
First of all I don't really understand why its called BB?  Since it doesn't contain any skincare ingredients, nor does it claim to benefit the skin in any way.  Secondly L'oreal claim that it changes colour on contact with the skin.  It says quite clearly on the back of the tube that it's a:  Transparent blush texture that turns pink on contact with skin for an instant healthy glow. Magic!  However, as you can see in the pictures, the gel comes out of the tube pink and therefore didn't appear to change colour at all.

L'oreal Nude Magique CC Cream Review - Anti Redness

L'oreal Nude Magique CC Cream Review - Anti Redness
L'oreal Nude Magique CC Cream - Anti Redness £9.99
L'oreal's Nude Magique CC Creams are a brand new range of Colour Correction Creams that have hit Loreal stands this month.  I never really thought much of CC creams, I don't know why, but they just never really interested me.  Probably because for the last month or so, I've been so hung up on Diors Nude BB Cream I haven't taken much notice of other complexion products.

Clarins Bronzing Duo Mineral Powder Compact Review - 02 Medium

Clarins Bronzing Duo Bronzer- 02 Medium £28
A few weeks ago I was getting my makeup done at the Clarins counter and the CA used their bronzing duo in 02 on me.  To be honest I never thought I'd buy any makeup from Clarins as I don't really associate Clarins with makeup, even though I've relied on their skincare for years.  But I was really impressed with the shimmery natural glow it gave me.  I got this bronzer in shade 02, which is the middle shade, they also do a lighter one which didn't really show up much on my skin and a darker one for more olive skin tones.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzing Compact Powder Review - Medium Shimmer

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzing Compact Powder Review - Medium Shimmer
Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer - Medium Shimmer £5.59
Rimmels Sun Shimmer Bronzing Compact Powder in Medium shimmer gives skin a sun kissed glow without turning skin orange and giving it the 'oopa loompa' effect.  This bronzer contains micro shimmer that gives skin a subtle sheen, and stops it from giving skin that dirty look.  The bronzer itself is buildable, so you can use it to add just a slight bit of colour, or to give a really bronzed and tanned look.

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Blusher Review - Peach Melba

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Blusher Review - Peach Melba
Natural Collection Blusher - Peach Melba £1.99
Peach Melba blusher from Natural collection is a highly pigmented, warm matte peach shade.  It's quick and easy to apply, as it is a very soft powder which picks up easily with just a few strokes of a brush.  It is a buildable shade which can be either applied for a subtle look, right through to an almost stage make up finish.  I'm usually more into shimmery shades, but this one was really flattering on my fair skin and looked fairly natural.

CHANEL Joules Contraste Powder Blush Review - 15 Orchid Rose

CHANEL Joules Contraste Powder Blush Review - 15 Orchid Rose
Chanel Blusher - 15 Orchid Rose £31
Chanels Joules Contraste Blusher in 15 Orchid Rose is a warm peach shimmery shade.
I have read other reviews which state that the US version is a different colour, I have the shade which is available in Europe.  The formula is really soft and fine, enabling product to be picked up easily with a single stroke of a brush.  The shimmer in the blush is subtle and acts as a highlighter without accentuating pores or fine lines, giving skin a healthy looking glow.

Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer Review

Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer Review
Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer Swatch £6.99
Fix and Perfect is a 5 in 1 primer, Rimmel say that it smoothes, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protects.
Its formula is very moisturising and slightly oily, I didn't find that it helped keep my make up in place any more than a moisturiser.  I would definitely call this a moisturiser rather than a primer.  I used this in shade 002 which comes out white and looses its colour on application, I have read other reviews that say that shade 001 is darker and more yellow toned.

Dior Diorblush Glowing Colour Powder Blusher Review - A Touch Of Blush 829 Rose Dragee

Dior Diorblush Glowing Colour Powder Blusher Review - A Touch Of Blush 829 Rose Dragee
Dior Diorblush A Touch Of Blush
A Touch Of Blush is an extremely sheer blusher from Dior, it's a light pink blusher split into two parts.
The left hand side is a matte light pink and the right hand side is a shimmery light pink shade.  when swatched you can't really see any pigment from the left hand side as its so sheer.  But the right hand side gives a nice hint of shimmer, working more as a really subtle highligher than a blusher.

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup Foundation Review

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup Foundation Review
Clinique Superbalanced Foundation  £21.50
Cliniques Superbalanced foundation has been my staple foundation for just over 18 months.
I first purchased this on a cruise ship 2 summers ago as it was on offer for about £12, I'm now on my third bottle and am completely addicted to the stuff!  It mattifys my skin and leaves it looking flawless, whilst the colours match my skin perfectly.

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter Review - Radiant Rose

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter - Radiant Rose
I personally prefer this to YSL's Touche Eclat, the colour blends perfectly with my skin tone as well as brightening and slightly concealing minor imperfections.

Nars Highlighting Blush Powder Review - Albatross

Nars Highlighting Blush Powder - Albatross £21.50
I've been wanting this highlighter for a while now and when I saw it in Space NK yesterday I just had to buy it!  Its an ivory, warm highlighter with golden micro shimmer and works really well with my light, pinkish toned skin.  I use this to highlight my brow bones and cheekbones and it really makes them stand out from the rest of my face.  I often use this when I'm contouring my cheekbones as it creates a natural looking contrast between my cheekbones and the bronzer underneath.

This is my first piece of make up from Marks and Spencer's Autograph range and I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of it.
The packaging is sleek and reminds me of Chanel, with its shiny black casing and white branding.  This blusher also comes in 4 other shades which are Apricot, Blossom, Mulberry and Pink, I've got my eye on Mulberry which is a semi dark berry colour.

Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream Review

There are currently two BB creams on offer from Dior, The first is Hydralife and the second is Nude.  Hydralife comes in only one shade which I've previously swatched in store, however it was much too yellow and dark for my skin.  However, I've been using a tester for Diors Diorskin Nude in Fair 002 for the last couple of weeks and I have noticed a massive difference in not only how my skin appears with it on, but also that some of my blemishes seem to have disappeared.
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream Review
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream
All of the Diorskin Nude shades have pink undertones which is great for me, since I have a naturally pinkish complexion. However I do know some people have tried it that have more yellow based skin tones and it has made their face a slightly different tone to their body, in which case Hydralife would suit them better.
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream Review
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream
I found this BB cream to have really good coverage for a BB cream, as it hides most of my blemishes meaning that I could easily wear it without any foundation.  Although as I like to have a more fuller coverage, I've been wearing it under my foundation.  Since I've started wearing it I've had a few people ask me what foundation I use so clearly its working.
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream Review
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream
To apply this BB cream I pat it into my skin with my hands, rather than rubbing it in or applying with a brush  like you would a foundation, I find that this method helps to cover up blemishes more evenly.

Dior say that Diorskin Nude will
- corrects transparently
- lights the skin up with a fresh glow
- gently hydrates
- instantly smoothes
- protects, day after day
Below is a photo of me with just Diorskin on, and below that is me with no make up, as you can see my skin tone is much more even and radiant with the BB cream on.

POUDRE SIGNÉE DE CHANEL ILLUMINATING POWDER PRINTEMPS PRÉCIEUX DE CHANEL SPRING 2013 COLLECTION

Poudre Signee De Chanel Illuminating Powder £46

When I first saw this illuminating powder I knew I had to get it.  The design is so unique and I almost don't want to use it because the embossed design is too pretty!  So far I've been using this on the tops of my cheekbones, brow bones and down the ridge of my nose.  It is nice and subtle but you can layer it up for a more dramatic effect. I'm lucky as I don't have large pores but I have heard that this product can highlight them so maybe something to test before buying if you do have large pores.  I tried to swatch this for you but my lighting wasn't very good so it wasn't showing up on camera.
