Autograph Eyeshadow Quad - Purple Mix £12 |
This eyeshadow quad from Marks and Spencer gives a very natural smoky eye.
Its called Purple Mix and it consists of a well pigmented smouldery grey with microshimmer on the top left, a barely there powdery lilac shade on the top right which I feel lacks pigmentation. On the bottom left is a shimmery light silver shade, this one is slightly more pigmented than the lilac shade but is still very subtle. On the bottom right is a well pigmented deep purple/ dark mauve colour. All of the shades are buildable with the exception of the lilac shadow. When I swatched them on my wrist, I built each shade up as much as was possible.
All four colours complement each other nicely, making the palette extremely versatile However, I did find these difficult to blend and apply as they are very solid in the palette. They were long lasting though and didn't smudge much, plus I didn't experience any fallout on application. But due to how hard they were to apply, I wouldn't buy another one of these quads as it took a while to create a subtle look and mistakes are easily made with eyeshadows this unblendable.

The colours themselves were really pretty and sophisticated, but I just found them too unblendable and difficult to apply.
