VO5 Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Spray Review

VO5 Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Spray Review
VO5 Smoothly Does It Tame & Shine Spray £3.89
VO5's Tame & Shine Spray is part of their Smoothly Does It Range which is aimed at keeping hair smooth, glossy and frizz free.  Since going brunette I've noticed that my hair isn't as naturally shiny as it was when I was a blonde.  So when I spotted this shine spray by one of my favourite budget hair styling brands I was eager to try it out.

The first thing I noticed about this product is that it has an incredible scent which leaves your hair smelling like you've just come out of a hair salon.  When I used this shine spray I noticed that my hair looks considerably shinier and more glossy.  Unlike some other shine sprays and serums that I've previously used, this one didn't make my hair appear greasy, even when I sprayed loads on it before a night out.  It also acted as a light hairspray, helping to prevent flyaways and holding my hair in place.

This product is made up of loads of tiny shimmery particles which reflect light off the surface of your hair.  If you spray this onto the back of your hand you can see that it adds a slight sheen to the skin.  As well as this, the shine spray also works as a heat protector by acting as a barrier between your straighteners and hair.  This product dries almost instantly and leaves hair feeling softer without weighing it down.

How to use:
I apply this to dry blow dried hair, spraying it throughout all of my hair.  I then straighten my hair in sections to seal the product into the cuticles in my hair.  Once I've fully straightened my hair I then spray the product over my hair to 'set' the look and make my hair look even glossier.

You can get this shine spray from Superdrug for £3.89.

Product score: 5/5
This product leaves hair looking super shiny, without making it look greasy, whilst also protecting hair from straighteners.
