Rimmel Glam Eyes - 120 Urban Green £4.49 |
Rimmel Glam Eyes in Urban Green is a highly pigmented shimmery deep green. I actually picked this up in my local poundland earlier on this week. I always like to have a quick browse around as I sometimes manage to find some great beauty buys such as this one. Usually the shades available are discontinued elsewhere, but I checked online and this shade is still available in the UK.

This is my first mono eyeshadow from Rimmel and I was really impressed with the product. The powder itself was soft enough to be picked up with just a few strokes of my MAC 239 brush. It applied easily, and pigmentation could be built up in layers. Once applied, it was easy to blend, I used a MAC 217 Blending brush to blend the shadow outwards, to avoid having a sharp line where the eyeshadow finished. I also didn't experience any fallout on application.

This shade went really well with my light complexion and would probably go well with most skin tones, although it may clash with red hair. When wearing Urban Green I didn't experience and creasing, smudging or fading, even after a whole day. I used
MAC's Prep and Prime Highlighter as my base, and
Nars Albatross to highlight my brow bones and the inner corners of my eyes. The only downside to this product was the packaging, I found it a bit fiddly to open and ended up chipping my nail polish trying to get inside.

You can get this eye shadow from
Boots for £4.49, (but have a look for it in poundland first).
Princess points: 4/5
This eyeshadow was brilliant, it's a gorgeous shade and was easy to apply, it's just a shame about the packaging.
