VO5 Smoothly Does It £3.89 |
This smoothing cream from VO5 is aimed at reducing staticness and flyaways whilst also acting as a heat protector. As I have very fine hair I'm often prone to frizz if I don't use the right products, especially in this cold weather we've been having. So far this product has lived up to its name and hasn't disappointed. It provides just enough weight to keep hair from being static, without weighing it down and making it look flat. I have also found that it makes straightening a lot quicker and easier which shows that it's working as a heat protector.

This smoothing cream is very similar to
Treseme's Frizz Control Finishing Cream, the only difference between the two is their scents. This cream from VO5 smells similar to the rest of the products from the straight & smooth collection, except it has a hint of the smell of moisturiser. To me this is a pretty standard product, it does exactly what it says but it's not that exciting. It doesn't add much shine or have an amazing and strong scent like similar products from salon brands would have, although for the price I can't complain.

How to apply:
I apply a small 20p sized blob of this to towel dried hair and rub it threw my mid lengths to ends. I then blow dry and style my hair as normal.
You can get this smoothing cream from
Superdrug for £3.89.
Product score: 4/5
This is a great straightforward product for reducing frizz ad staticness without weighing hair down.
