This eyebrow pencil from Maybelline is more like a tinted eyebrow wax pencil rather than anything else. It works mostly to hold eyebrows in place as its formula is wax based and the pencil itself isn't very pigmented. The result you get from this is very natural, but unlike with your average eyebrow pencil with this one you won't get any stray hairs poking out in the wrong direction.

These pencils come with a brow comb on the end which is really useful for priming the hairs ready for filling them in. There are only 2 shades of this available in the UK, Dark Blonde and Soft Brown but I believe there are 4 shades in the US. Compared to
Dior's Eyebrow pencil in Blond, Maybelline's is considerably lighter despite being named 'Dark Blond'.

I found this pencil really easy to use, although as it isn't that well pigmented, I did have to go over my eyebrows a few times in order to build up the colour. It lasted me a full day without fading and held my brows in place the whole day. You don't get as much product as you do in Dior or MUA's eyebrow pencils but for £2.99 you still get a decent amount.

Since I have a few eyebrow hairs that always seem to stray off in the wrong direction, I found this wax based pencil really useful for keeping them securely in place whilst giving my brows a full yet natural look.
